This stereoview shows a scene from the Middle Falls area. The gate and walls were build by Letchworth, but the structure predates his arrival in Portage. The building reportedly served the area as a general store in the days when traffic passed over the nearby lattice bridge. The building was located in the general vicinity of the present day Middle Falls comfort station.
