This rare image shows the actual construction of the William Pryor Letchworth Museum in the winter of 1912/13. The walls of native stone have been laid, and workmen are finishing work in preparation for the roof. To the right of the museum is Mr Letchworth's ice house, located in what is now a parking lot. The Council Grounds is located on the bluff behind the Museum. You can see a photo of a portion of the completed building here.

For more information see our Glimpse of the William Pryor Letchworth Museum.
