If you stand at the Middle Falls overlook near the top of the Falls and look down into the gorge below, you will notice the opening to "Devil's Oven", a shallow natural cave in the western gorge wall. This cave and the river bed is no longer accessible to visitors because of the danger, but once was popular for the most adventurous of visitors.

An identical card to one shown above was postmarked from Castile in 1911.
