This photograph was taken from the south end of Deh ga ya soh Creek . The bridge was the second to be built at over the Creek. (See Image 42 for image and information on the original bridge.) Since the original bridge had become dangerous for visitors to travel over, Mr. Letchworth paid to have this fancy iron bridge built in the 1880s. The building beyond the bridge belonged to the Davis family and operated as an early refreshment stand. (See Image 40) Also see Image 44 to see the present bridge that stands on this spot.
